Website Overview

We designed the FHGC website to create an online community of members and help us run the club.  We know the most important question you probably have is "When is my tee time?" and you'll find that information here.  But if that's all you look for, you're missing out on a lot of other good stuff.  We hope all members will partcipate in our community by posting on the website.  Actually, we kind of force you to participate - remember "no RSVP, no play?"

What happens in the club, stays in the club...
unless you post it on the internet.

 
Just a cautionary note to remind everyone of the public nature of the internet...

On to the good stuff.  Anyone who visits our website will get to view the public portions of our website.  We hope they enjoy getting to know our club and the writings of our members.

Every FHGC member has an account on the website.  After you log in, you can view members only pages like the member list, member locations and post on the website.  What you can post depends on your role in the club - all members can post comments and entries to their personal blogs.  Other members like the tournament czar, oops, I mean chairman, need to create tournament events so they can post in different areas of the website. 

As far as security goes, we ask that you protect your password and change it regularly.  We put in a lot of work to secure the website, but it's an ongoing war to keep the bad guys out.  Don't make it easy for them with simple passwords you never change.

This website will change depending on the needs of our members and the club.  We appreciate your contributions and look forward to this new adventure!
