It's da bomb!

April's tournament takes us back to the Home Course, the former location of the DuPont Company.  If the tee markers wrapped like sticks of dynamite weren't a clue, maybe you wondered about the odd architecture of some holes featuring landscaped old explosives bunkers.  Despite the millions of pounds of dynamite produced over the years, Floyd assures us that it's a safe place to play.

We're introducing a new format too - the Modified Stableford.  The highlight of this format is that risk is rewarded and you can have a couple of bad holes and still do very well.

So see you out there on April 28th.  Please check in by 10:30 so our helpers can get some warm up time before they play.

RSVP by April 15th.

One of the newest courses with panoramic views of Puget Sound, the Olympics and Mt. Rainier.  Very walkable and was constructed with state of the art drainage technology.  The Home Course will eventually house the offices of the WSGA, PNGA, and USGA activities in the Northwest.

Modified Stableford

This is a Two Man team format where the highest point total wins.  Each golfer takes his course handicap and uses his net score for each hole.  You accumulate points for net pars, birdies, eagles and double eagles.  You get no points for bogeys and lose points for double bogeys or worse.  At the end of the round, the team members add their total points.

Points are scored as follows:

  • Double bogey or worse - minus 1 point
  • Bogey - 0 points
  • Par - 1 point
  • Birdie - 3 points
  • Eagle - 5 points
  • Double Eagle - 7 points

On your scorecards, please indicate points scored for each golfer on each hole.
