Capitol City Carnival!

The club's first tournament of the year.  If you haven't been swinging over the winter, it's time to clean up your clubs and get ready for the 2010 season.

We're ready and the course will be too!

This format will give you a chance to get the kinks out of your swing and more importantly, your back.

We usually play a Four-man Scramble, but this year we will play a version of the Scramble, we will call it a Four-man SHAMBLE.  See the format description below.  We think you'll like it!

Deadline to sign-up for Capitol City is March 12th.

Remember to sign up early.  These FHGC events are becoming quite a social event.  You don't want to miss it.

Dues are to be paid before you tee off. Others who don't play the first tournament must mail in your dues before April 3, 2010.  Mail to:  Paul Miyahara

Check-in time is 10:30.  Please check in early to allow our helpers a chance to warm up.  Call in advance to reserve carts.

Scorecards need the names of the four members and the team number.  Mark the holes used for the drives by each member of your foursome.  Use two low net scores per hole. i.e. 4 & 5 = 9.  Add the 18 holes for your team total.

A long time FHGC favorite.  Usually played early in the season because it's one of the drier courses in the state.  Winds through a residential area.  Good course to get your game going.

Shamble

Each player tees off.  The team selects which tee shot to use.  Each team member hits from that location.  After the second shot, everyone plays their own ball until holed out.  Putt everything out, NO GIMMES.  One club length from original position. You must play from the same lie.  If you are in the rough, all players must hit from the rough.  If you are on the fringe of the green, you must keep on the fringe.  If your team chooses a ball in a hazard, all have to hit from the hazard.

Each player must use at least 3 drives per 18 holes.  One player can hit a maximum 7 tee balls.

Since everyone hits from the tee on each hole, KP and Long Drive holes will be used.
