Score posting starts March 1, 2011

Beginning MARCH 1, 2011, scores from within WSGA boundaries will once again be acceptable for handicap purposes.  It is the responsibility of each golfer to post every acceptable score as soon as practicable.

Acceptable score types include:

Physically Unable To Perform

If you find  over the Winter that  you cannot play golf in one or more of the FHGC monthly tournaments for a variety of reasons, i.e. surgeries, injuries, illnesses ("Physically Unable to Perform"), you have two options:

To Post or Not To Post

Direct quote from the WSGA regarding posting your golf scores during the Inactive Posting Season.

"It is the policy of the WSGA that scores from rounds played in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington are only acceptable for handicapping purposes when played between March 1st and November 15th(Active Season).  Rounds played between November 16th and the last day of February each year(Inactive Season) in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington are Never Acceptable for handicapping purposes.

New Handicap Update Schedule for 2010

Posting of scores in Washington begins on March 1, 2010. GHIN will issue updated handicap indexes every other Wednesday ending on March 24, 2010. The next update will not occur until April 15. From that date forward GHIN will update handicap indexes on the 1st and 15th of every month. Posting of scores in Washington will end on November 15, 2010.

New Season, Same Tournament Chairman

Everyone who is a member of the FHGC for 2010 will be presented with a hand-out at the first tournament they participate in.  Over the years, we have been kind of lax on some of the golf rules.  Mainly, to accommodate the "Old Timers" in the club.  i.e. we always played Winter Rules.
